UK Organisers Launch YARDX – the World’s First Yard Operations and Industrial Outdoor Storage Exhibition

YARDX, a new logistics exhibition is set to launch in the UK, dedicated solely to yard operations management, and Industrial Outdoor Storage (IOS). Taking place on the 3rd and 4th of June 2025 at the NAEC, Stoneleigh, YARDX will offer a comprehensive platform for logistics professionals looking to optimize, manage and maintain their yard operations and explore emerging trends in industrial outdoor storage.

YARDX is expected to attract a diverse range of professionals responsible for day-to-day yard management, logistics, supply chain operations, safety, and security, including facility and operations managers, health and safety officers, and industry specialists. The event will also appeal to professionals in sectors such as retail, automotive, manufacturing, logistics, ports, large-scale car parks, industrial outdoor storage facilities, and distribution centres.

Nairn Foster - Managing Director

Nairn Foster, Managing Director of YARDX, commented:

“YARDX is very exciting as it’s a world-first, where the transport aspects of logistics intersect with storage and warehousing. At YARDX, visitors can source all the products and services they need, and we will provide thought leadership for FDs and Operations Directors, demonstrating how to enhance efficiencies, mitigate risks, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Our sustainability areas will showcase best practices in energy management, emissions reduction, and environmentally friendly yard solutions, offering a comprehensive overview of innovations that can future-proof their

operations. From Yard Management Software to the nuts and bolts of tarmacking and line marking, it will all be at YARDX.”

What is a Yard?

In logistics and operations, a yard refers to an outdoor area where vehicles, trailers, heavy equipment, or stored goods are parked, loaded, unloaded, and maneuvered. These yards are not limited to traditional logistics sites but also include large retail car parks, ports, and distribution centres. Effective yard management is essential for minimizing delays, maximizing efficiency, and ensuring safety in high-traffic zones. With the rise of industrial outdoor storage as a strategic component of logistics and property investment, YARDX will focus on the increasing importance of this growing area. This growing subsector is gaining attention due to its role in supporting manufacturing, logistics, construction, transportation, and agriculture. According to Savills Research, the IOS market is forecasted to grow by 4.5% annually, reaching $2.25bn by 2028 from $1.66bn in 2021. This surge highlights the sector’s relevance within the broader industrial & logistics landscape.

YARDX is a stand-alone exhibition, however it will be co-located with the Inside Warehouse and Logistics Expo, a well-established event that has gained strong industry support since its launch in 2022. This dual format will allow attendees to explore both exhibitions, connecting the dots between yard, IOS, and warehouse operations. It is expected that the synergy between the two exhibitions will attract a broader and a wider audience including transport managers, facilities managers, health and safety mangers.

  • "We’ve never seen a show like it! Within six minutes of the inaugural IWLEX (Inside Warehouse & Logistics Exhibition) opening, we had our first inquiry in the bag. The two days in May at the Telford International Centre went on to be the most successful trade show we have attended in terms of deals created at the event itself and immediately afterward."
    Hi-Level Mezzanines Ltd
  • “We thoroughly enjoyed our time at IWLEX. It is a valuable exhibition for companies looking for the highest quality visitors. Visitor numbers may be lower than at other exhibitions, simply because the organisers have done a fantastic job in screening out time-wasters! Everyone who came onto our stand was a motivated buyer and we have had several high-quality leads since the exhibition. We recommend IWLEX to anyone looking for relevant leads within the world of warehousing and logistics. Thank you, Justin and Nairn!”
